Meaning? This reply could not be found. - kdebaconYou get the general amazon tracking that you get from buying anything through amazon
In reply to
SynthMeaning? - But amazon won't necessarily know which mullvad acc is yours
- SynthSo I can still be "anonymous" buying the VPN voucher despite it being through Amazon, correct?
In reply to
kdebaconBut amazon won't necessarily know which mullvad acc is yours - (My threat model is to be mostly sudonymous btw)
- kdebaconYou're still giving amazon your data

SynthSo I can still be "anonymous" buying the VPN voucher despite it being through Amazon, correct? - But if you already use amazon anyway, then sure
- SynthI'm going to do what's called a pro gamer move
- And use my parents amazon account lol
- Jonah (he/him)you can "anonymously" use Mullvad despite buying it through Amazon would probably be the most correct way to phrase this
In reply to
SynthSo I can still be "anonymous" buying the VPN voucher despite it being through Amazon, correct? - you can't anonymously make the purchase through Amazon since Amazon needs all your info of course
- SynthYea, that's what I'm trying to say

I'm afraid google safebrowsing does nothing. How to block youtube using safebrowsing? I'm using cloudflare warp which I guess does what google safebrowsing does but orders of magnitude better, yet it is something completely different than a real site blocker / parental controls. This reply could not be found.
I want to block sites that waste time, or just limit the daily exposure under the toxic amount.
There are some brave extensions to block sites, but the permissions are: read website content, access to search history, and few more.
Also, I'm on Linux, so my go to Microsoft Family Safety no longer works, but it also wasn't that good outside Windows and enforced the use of Edge.
There are at least three super easy ways to turn it off on Android with just few click. - riley (she/they)if the goal is just to block sites that waste your time, just use the hosts file. yes the UX is bad but it only requires using sudo or root in some way rather than using a third party extension with the required permissions which you seem to be against using for some reason

There is this thing that confuses me a little. Let’s say you use a internet browser and you hardened the privacy. Meaning you installed all the privacy addons like uBlock Origin and you set strict rules, you blocked all the fingerprinting and everything. But unfortunately it breaks many websites and some of them won’t work. Then what? You really need to use this website. So you allow third part...

The linked article mentions concerns about the planned mandatory introduction of state-controlled qualified website certificates (QWACs) as part of the “eIDAS Regulation”. The EU plans to establish an additional system for certificates, which would be legally required within the EU. These new QWACs would be controlled by individual EU member states, and citizens would be expected to trust them ...

Is there any danger in my cell phone’s Bluetooth being turned on while I’m connected with headphones? Looking here on the PG forum, I saw that the problem with Bluetooth is the pairing process, so if I do it at home (where I’m alone) there’s a low risk, right? And in relation to my headphone. Does staying on and connected to my phone offer a high attack surface? Note: I already renamed my Androi...

- CapoFantasma97I just noticed Proton made a password manager. Has it been reviewed by Privacy Guides? https://proton.me/pass
- kremzliYes
- I think the verdict was theres no reason to list it when bitwarden is listen
- Freddy (he/him)Also - if you already use Proton for email/VPN - you probably don't want all your eggs in one basket (as much as the ecosystem is nice).
- Dan r/dark (Is not the man & Braxman Tomsparks Advocate )Unless there is a significant advantage over bitwarden whats the point
- Also there black Friday stuff has started
- Proton
- @yng:fsfe.orgAfaik there is also no big reason to discourage use of Proton Pass, so if you like itCCapoFantasma97 then go with it. And it's also fully possible to use multiple Proton accounts if the "all eggs in one basket" thing concerns you. (Which I do not really buy tbh, because most people would store their Mail/VPN credentials inside their password manager anyway.)
- That being said I use Bitwarden haha
- Jonah (he/him)pretty lame deals this year

@yng:fsfe.orgMaybe you lack the vision - @yng:fsfe.orgHey the introductory pricing sale for Proton Pass was ok though. 12 euro/year. But yeah, they don't really seem to do sales where things get cheaper, it's just marketing.
