Obtainium doesn't even verify a signature before downloading a package
  • It's great if APKs are the only way to download something or for convenient track-only
  • But otherwise you're actually better off setting up an RSS feed and downloading manually

I mostly use DDG. Kagi results are comparable. When DDG fails I sometimes resort to Google. I can't use Kagi routinely with just 100 queries but I try it sometimes. It is subject to the same spurious results as the others afaict. And I haven't yet seen it find anything that the others missed.

@Private_Plan posted in Smartwatch, which to choose?
I’ve been using a Galaxy Watch Active 2 for the past years. The reason why I’ve chosen it is because I can activate it and use it fully offline and without even connecting to a phone. Now that the watch is dead, I’m in the market for a new one. I’ve been looking at the Galaxy Watch 5 / 6 and the Ticwatch. I want a smartwatch to measure sport activity and control music playback. I personally use Droid-ify cause it has a lot of repositories available by default and I'm lazy to go and add them one by one
  • (To F-Droid/F-Droid basic)
  • I do use F-Droid basic in my un-microG'd profile though
  • cause I don't really care about installing extra apps her (other than Element)
  • 𝕁𝕚𝕚𝕓𝕦𝕤
Yea it is pretty annoying to have to add repos to fdroid
  • They should at least have a bunch of repos added but disabled by default IMO
  • bqfls2
    exactly what Droid-ify does
  • by default F-Droid main and izzysoft are enabled
  • Rest has to be manually enabled
